Description
This ‘Jumps and Drops’ course will teach you how to jump and tackle the larger drop-offs, which will be above hub height and landing on down slopes. We will also work on table top jumps, gap jumps and progressive downhill tracks like Pedalabikeaway’s very own GBU 3-dot downhill track.
If you feel this is above you current skills please check out Logical Progression course, the beginnings of Jumps and Drops
You will progress through the day starting with easier jumps and drops. This will build your confidence up to start tackling the bigger stuff. The session will be progressive and we will not make you do things you are not 100% happy with.
This course is for advanced riders only. You must be confident at riding two-dot downhill lines or black graded trails.
This course is 10am – 3pm. Please meet at 9.45am for a 10am start.
This session mainly focuses on the following areas;
- Pre-loading the bike on the take-off for jumps
- Handling the bike in mid-air
- Spotting your landing and landing safely
- Tackling larger drop-offs and at slower speed
Logical Progression is the fifth step of our comprehensive coaching pathway. A progressive structure for you to develop from a complete beginner to exhibiting hardcore skills on your mountain bike! Already been on this course? Then have a look at the course ‘Steep and Natural‘ or ‘Downhills Skills’ to further develop your mountain biking skills.
This is an adults (18+) course, however 16-18 year olds can attend if there is an adult accompanying them on the course.

Great day despite the weather. Made a lot of progress with Seth’s teaching and guidance. Even managed the big drop off on GBU!
Well worth the money I thought.
