Fodders Academy is the next step in your young ripper’s development toward becoming a confident, self-reliant mountain biker. It’s also the perfect progression after completing the Little Fodders coaching pathway.

Designed for riders aged 10 and up, this academy is for young people who already have a solid understanding of the core skills of mountain biking.

⚠️ Please note: This is not a beginners group. Riders must be confident on a bike and capable of riding a Red-graded MTB trail.

📍 Location

All sessions are based at our local trail centre, Pedalabikeaway 🏞️, which gives us access to a fantastic network of trails — perfect for developing skills and confidence in a real-world setting.


🧭 What to Expect

Each session is limited to a small group to ensure high-quality coaching. These intensive days focus on developing the complete young mountain biker, including:

  • The Flow Project – Level 1 NOT a beginner Session – But based around the basics to ride off road
  • Rail and Rip – Corners – Level 2
  • Jumps and Drops: The basics – Level 2
  • Jumos and Drops – Progressive : You Child MUST have taken part in Jumps and Drops: The basics to take part in this session

🕙 Session Details

  • Start Time: 9:30 – 12:30
  • Duration: 3hrs
  • Group Size: Max 6 participants

🎒 What to Bring

Please ensure your child comes prepared with:

  • A water bottle or small rucksack with hydration
  • Weather-appropriate clothing ☀️🌧️
  • A small snack (pocket-sized)
  • Packed lunch or money for the café
  • A spare inner tube (correct size)
  • Helmet and gloves (compulsory)
  • Kneepads and elbow pads (recommended)

📞 Parent/Guardian Info

  • parent or guardian must be contactable at all times during the session.
  • An adult must collect the child at the end of the session.

🚵‍♂️ Welcome to Fodders’ Academy

Fodders’ Academy is the next exciting step in your young ripper’s journey to becoming a confident, self-reliant mountain biker. Designed for riders aged 10 and up, this academy is the perfect progression after completing our Little Fodders Saturday sessions — or for any young rider with solid mountain biking experience.

⚠️ Please note: This is not a beginner group. Riders must be confident and competent on a bike and able to ride a red-graded MTB trail.

Each session is limited to 6 participants to ensure focused, high-quality coaching. These intensive 3-hour days are designed to develop the complete young mountain biker, covering:

  • Core and advanced MTB skills
  • Fitness and endurance
  • Trail-side repairs
  • Principles of training and performance

It’s the ultimate day out for your bike-mad ripper!

    Went to fodders today, had a day with coach Alex. Amazing. Tips and tricks and loadsa fun. Would defo recommend..free burger…morning on verderers (blue) and afternoon on drops, downhills and skills (reds).
